The TS-690-AS is a Central unit for TOA Conference system. Use of its line connection terminals permits connections to the conference units of TS-691L-AS, TS-692L-AS making up a conference system. With the use of an optional rack mounting bracket, it can be mounted in an EIA Standard equipment rack (2 unit size)

The central unit shall be designed to be connected with the chairman and delegate units to establish a complete conference system that allows in-house conference use. The central unit shall be equipped with a test function which enables easy confirmation of the connection status of all connected units by turning of all microphones simultaneously. The central unit shall feature operation of up to 3 simultaneous delegate speakers unit.
The central unit shall be capable of operation from a 220-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz line. The power consumption of the central unit shall be a maximum of 20 W. The central unit shall provide a selectable between microphone input (-60 dB, 600 ohm, unbalanced, phone jack) or auxiliary input (-20 dB, 600 ohm, unbalanced, phone jack). The central unit shall provide one recording output (-20 dB, 10 k ohm, unbalanced, RCA jack × 2). The central unit controls shall include MIC limiter switch which provides restriction of simultaneously-usable chairman/delegate units selectable between 0, 1, 2, or 3 and a time-out function switch adjustable to OFF or ON (30 seconds). The operating temperature of the central unit shall be 0°C to 40°C. The operating humidity of the central unit shall be under 90 % RH (no condensation).
The central unit front panel shall be aluminum, 30% gloss, black finish and case: steel plate 30% gloss, black finish. The dimensions of the central unit shall be 420 (W) × 96.1 (H) × 222.5 (D) mm (16.54” x 3.78” x 8.76”) and shall weigh 2.7 kg (5.95 lb.). An optional rack mounting bracket shall be available.
