The BS-4W is a splash proof compact speaker with a closed-cabinet design. It features a 10 cm (4") full range speaker unit (plastic cone) and meets IPX2* water protection requirements. It can be used under the eaves not directly exposed to rain or waterdrop, or in highly humid locations (locker rooms of swimming pools and bathrooms).

*Do not use the speaker in locations such as poolside where the speaker is always exposed to water splash, or in high-temperature and high-humidity locations such as bathrooms and steam saunas where dew condensation may form. Besides, do not dash water directly on the speaker.

The splash proof loudspeaker systems shall incorporate a single 10cm (4”) full range plastic type transducer. The unit is contained in a closed weatherproof unit, sealed against ingress of water meeting the requirements for IPX2 standards for water protection. Included shall be a 360° rotatable bracket.
The unit shall have a smooth frequency response between 100 Hz to 12 kHz measured on axis. The loudspeaker shall produce a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) of 87 dB on axis at 1 meter with a power input of 1 watt and shall be capable of producing 5 watts of power. The unit shall include an enclosed 5 watt/100 line transformer with cable entry fixed at the rear of the unit.
The splash proof loudspeaker shall operate in temperature conditions of between -20 °C to + 55 °C (-4 °F to 131 °F)
The unit construction shall be polypropylene, grey. Grille: aluminium punch net, silver grey. Mounting bracket: Rolled steel plate, grey. Dimensions shall be 196 (W) × 177 (H) × 160 (D) mm (7.72" × 6.97" × 6.3") weighing 1.5 kg (3.31 lb.)
