The CX-AF1062 is an Audio interface designed for the CX-1000 series IP communication system that features decentralized distribution configuration. By simply connecting to a network (LAN or WAN), it is possible to make audio announcements from the microphone or audio source devices connected to this unit to the intercom stations or amplifier units. By registering audio files in the unit's built-in memory, Chime broadcast and EV broadcast can be performed. It is equipped with 6 analog audio inputs and 2 analog audio outputs. You can adjust the volume for each audio input/output channel using the front panel-mounted volume knob or by software. In addition, the sound quality for each audio input/output channel can also be adjusted by software. Announcements and various functions can be started or stopped using the front panel-mounted direct keys.

The Audio Interface shall be a multifunctional, network-connected device designed to integrate external audio sources and control signals into IP-based audio systems, specifically for use with TOA’s CX-1000 Series IP communication system.
The Audio Interface shall provide six balanced audio inputs and two balanced audio outputs, each with adjustable gain and equalization (EQ).
The Audio Interface shall include independent volume controls for all six input channels and both output channels, as well as signal processing functions including gain, EQ, compressor, Automatic Gain Control (AGC), trim, and VOX (voice-operated switch) gating.
The Audio Interface shall support audio transmission over 100BASE-TX Ethernet using both unicast and multicast delivery. Dual LAN ports shall be provided, with LAN A supporting PoE (IEEE802.3af compliant) and LAN B for redundant network connection. Supported protocols shall include TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, HTTP, RTP, RTSP, NTP, FTP, and RSTP. Audio encoding shall use PCM or G.722 codecs with 16-bit quantization and selectable sampling rates of 48 kHz or 16 kHz.
The Audio Interface shall provide ten control inputs and ten control outputs for integration with external control systems. Ten direct-operation keys and corresponding LED indicators shall be provided for intuitive operation and real-time status monitoring.
The Audio Interface shall support desktop placement and shall be mountable in a rack or on a wall using optional brackets. Power shall be supplied via 24 V DC through a removable terminal block or by an optional AC adapter. Power consumption shall not exceed 8 W. The unit shall operate within a temperature range of 0 °C to +40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F) and relative humidity up to 90 % (non-condensing).
The Audio Interface shall be housed in a pre-coated black steel chassis with an ABS resin front panel. Dimensions shall be 420 (W) × 44.3 (H) × 284.5 (D) mm (16.54" × 1.74" × 11.20"), and weight shall be 3.1 kg (6.83 lbs).
